MM Dashboard
Real-time credit utilization, positions, fills, and account state.
Overview
The MM Dashboard is the primary interface for market makers operating on Vela. It aggregates account-level information — credit utilization, open positions, recent fills, and balance history — in a single view, updated in real time via the private WebSocket feed.
Credit Utilization Gauge
The prominent arc gauge at the top of the dashboard shows your current credit utilization as a percentage of your maximum allowed notional. The gauge updates immediately with every fill or new order placement. Color coding:
- Green (0–79%): Normal operating range.
- Amber (80–94%): Warning — approaching limit.
- Red (95–100%): Critical — new orders likely to be rejected.
Open Orders Panel
A real-time table of all open orders across all markets. For each order: market, side, price, original quantity, filled quantity, remaining quantity, order type, time in force, and a cancel button. Orders can be cancelled individually or all cancelled at once with the "Cancel All" button.
Recent Fills
A chronological log of your fills, scrollable and filterable by market, side, and time range. Each fill entry shows: market, side, fill price, fill size, fee or rebate amount, and the order ID that generated the fill.
Balance Summary
Per-asset breakdown of available and locked balances. Available balance is immediately usable for new orders. Locked balance is reserved by open orders and released when those orders fill or are cancelled.
Quote Spread Monitor
For each market where you have open orders on both sides, the dashboard shows your current quoted spread in basis points. This helps you quickly identify markets where your quotes have drifted off mid-market or where your spread has widened due to partial fills.
